On July 27, 2010, our beloved Fireball was very ill and had to be put down. The vet believes he contracted Potomac fever. Due to his advanced age and impaired immune system, he could not overcome the virus.
Fireball was loved by all the childen who visited the stables. Many of these children gained their first horse experience on Fireball's back with a 10 minute pony ride. Fireball loved children and was very kind and patient with them. He could be extremely stubborn with adults. He performed his duty as a gentleman and was in his mid 20' with many of those years spent at the stables.
We will miss him sorely.
